As a health care clinician, I absolutely recommend this tour! I have taken it several times and always learn something new. It is a hidden gem in St Augustine!

We had Joe and Jose as our tour guides.They did a good job of piggybacking on each other and the tour was very informative. It was very interesting to see how care used to be performed. Jose was very knowledgeable on medical practices. Great tour for anyone.

I’m not related to the healthcare industry and still, I found the tour very informative and worthy. If what you’re looking for is just a display of artifacts, maybe not your place although you have some. However, if you’re looking for an immersive experience and live the colonial era for one hour, I highly recommend it. I was lucky to get the tour and explanations by José, who was amazing. He’s highly knowledgeable about medicine practices in the XVIII century and how the modern US healthcare practices were shaped by those. He made a demo about a bullet extraction (this was a military hospital) and medical herbs highly enjoyable. It’s true what others say about the small size of this museum, but it was -at least for me- the highlight of St Augustine visit.

This was a great tour. The lecture by the wonderful woman was informative and interesting. I work in the medical field, so it was especially interesting to me. A wonderful History lesson that taught us many things we didn't know. We'll be back again.

Very informative tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. It was apparent to us that Jose, our guide, has a passion for Spanish medical history. Plan on returning in the future.
